Shin-Etsu PP Film
type R is the world's first polypropylene film ever to have been
successfully developed for commercial-industrial use. It is based
on the inflation method.
The major feature of this
film is its uniform net-like structure which facilitates smooth
oil impregnation. As a result, it has been possible to achieve
an all-film type capacitor that does without the paper layer of
the conventional type of paper-and-PP film structure of high-voltage
capacitor dielectrics, thereby, achieving a more compact, large-capacity
and high-reliability high-voltage capacitor.
Shin-Etsu Film has earned
itself the highest acclaim for its achievements from the industry
and been able to maintain a firm position with its product as
the main material in this field both in Japan and abroad.
Shin-Etsu PP Film type S, a smooth-surface
type film is used as a general impregnation type.
Metallized PP and PET
Film type M is metallized with zinc, aluminum or alloy on the
film substrate. This Metallized Film is extensively used for low-voltage
capacitors.
